Nerd at Heart

So if you know me really well you know that I am a huge reader and a closet nerd. About two months ago I went to the San Marcos Public Library to get a library card and could not pull the books off the shelf fast enough! My friends and family are always astonished that I can go through a book in 1 or 2 days. I can't help it, I get way too excited and HAVE to find out what happens. If any of you out there are looking for some reads here are some that I have read so far.

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin

I know they made a movie about it but the book was so much better. I honestly could not put this down!

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

I love this author! I got this book from Amazon and loved it. It's about this 20 something marketing assistant who accidently spills all her little secrets to a mysterious man sitting next to her on a plane ride. Come Monday morning it turns out that the man is the CEO of the company she works for. She is mortified and the CEO spends the next week teasing her and its just an easy, fun read.

Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella

This book is about a lawyer who makes a terrible mistake at work and rides the train from London to the country and mistakingly takes a job as a housekeeper. She doesn't know how to boil an egg let alone clean an entire house. It may sound kind of cheesy but it is actually really good. And there of course is a love interest (the handsome gardner!).

Redeeming Love by Franchine Rivers

This is a religious based book from the book of Hosea. It is the most amazing love story you will ever read! My mission is to encourage Clint to read it because it sends a great message to both men and women. This book will definitely make you shed a tear or two.

The Luxe Series by Anna Godbersen

The Luxe series is set in New York City during 1899-1904. It tells the story of five different upper class girls and their crazy lives. There are a bunch of love triangles, lies and all that kind of stuff going on.

The Choice by Nicholas Sparks

This is the story of Travis and Gabby. Gabby is the new neighbor and mets Travis, the town vet, when her dog becomes pregnant. Gabby has a boyfriend which causes some problems as Travis starts to fall in love with her. Its a light read and I really encourage that you read it.

The Wedding Girl by Madeleine Wickham

Madeleine Wickham is also Sophie Kinsella and this book was so funny. Its about Milly and her adventure of marrying the "man of her dreams", or so she thought.
