Movie Review: The Amazing Spiderman

OMG. I was sure that "The Avengers" would be the only good superhero movie to come out for awhile. Well, I was wrong. Not only did another great superhero movie come out not long after it, but within the SAME summer! Even though "The Avengers" is still the #1 superhero movie probably of all time, "The Amazing Spiderman" definitely held its own.

When Clint said he wanted to see this movie today I wasn't really on board. I loved the 2002 Spiderman and was confused on what this one would even be about. Also, I really had my heart set on seeing Magic Mike, am I right ladies ;)? Since there was no way I could convince Clint that Magic Mike had a gripping storyline, we bought our tickets to The Amazing Spiderman, and amazing it was indeed.

The Amazing Spiderman tells the tale of Peter Parker as he  finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. This quest puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner.

This movie is another take on how Peter became Spiderman and gives him a new love interest, Gwen Stacy. The best part of the movie? The heart-warming chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (who also date in real life, awww!)

They were so endearing to watch and you could tell they had a blast making the movie together. There were so many cute moments that made my heart melt.

Peter: I've been bitten....
Gwen: So have I.

and the BEST scene ever:

Teacher: Don't make promises you can't keep Mr. Parker
Peter: whispers to Gwen. But those are the most fun
Gwen smiles.

^^You have to see the movie to understand why that is the best scene EVER.

Andrew Garfield definitely surprised me on his take on the man in the spandex suit. I wasn't sure how he would do, but I was pleasantly surprised. He was funny, charming and brave. What more could you want in a masked vigilante?

Emma Stone is exactly what you would expect: witty and beautiful. She is one of my favorite actresses and I am 100% sure we would be best friends if we knew each other.

Rhys Ifans plays Dr. Conners/The Lizard. He was brilliant and really made you root for him and want him to die at the same time. You might remember him as Mr. Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies and this guy from Notting Hill haha :)

I definitely recommend paying the money to go and see this movie. It has amazing special effects and computer technology that is so cool to see on screen.

Go and see "the untold story begin".

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY
