After alot of begging and pleading I finally convinced Clint to take me to see The Vow. However, it was only because over the last week we have seen "The Grey"(terrible and depressing) and "Safe House"(killings galore) so I had a good argument that it was time for a movie of MY choosing :)
So Clint would not have to face it alone we convinced our good friends Marissa and Moses. Well....we convinced Moses, Marissa was more than happy to see it again! (She had seen it the day before).
Ok let's review!
The Vow stars Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum who play husband and wife, Paige and Leo.
Paige and Leo get into a horrible car accident and Paige wakes up not with memory loss and does not know that she is married to Leo or that her life has changed drastically over the previous four years. All she remembers is being engaged to another man, Jeremy, being in law school and living with her parents (who are complete snobs). Leo must try and make Paige fall in love with him all over again, hoping that maybe her memory will come back to her.
The movie is amazing from start to finish! I am a big Rachel McAdams fan and she did not disappoint in this movie. She is such a charming actress that you can't help but always fall in love with her. Her character was so endearing, and I was rooting for her the entire time!
Ok, now for Channing Tatum. I know this may sound weird but I honestly do not find him attractive. Yes, he is cute in his own way, but there is something not right about his face to me. His character though was very likeable. I felt sorry for him the entire time and loved how even through the worst of times, no matter how defeated he felt, he always put on a brave face and did everything he could for Paige. So sweet!
The movie is not sappy the entire time, there are surprisingly a lot of funny parts. I caught Clint laughing multiple times and he HATES Channing Tatum. He even said it was a good movie, but he found it depressing.
Something I've noticed on a lot of my friends' facebook walls are what they thought of the movie. Almost all of them has said this:
I don't know about that but I am sure glad that I get to call this stud my husband in just a few short months!
So in my opinion it was worth the money to go see it! It is a perfect movie for Valentine's Day. You can see it with your girlfriends or significant other (my advice is to buy them popcorn so they will be happy..works for me!). Have a wonderful Monday!
Happy early Valentine's day from Belle!
Such the Romantic...
