Now that television show seasons are wrapping up and the season finales are leaving everyone hanging, I wanted to share with you what my "go-to" shows were this season. It seemed like my DVR was recording at least one show a week!
1. New Girl
Jess (played by Zooey Deschanel), is a bubbly, offbeat, adorable, eccentric woman in her late 20s who teaches at a local middle school. She caught her boyfriend cheating on her and is determined to move on from her unfortunate relationship. Jess moves out and starts looking for a new place. She saw an ad on Craigslist, where she meets and moves in with three young men: Nick, Schmidt, and Coach.
Jess and Schmidt are the BEST part of the show. Their characters are hilarious and even Clint enjoyed watching this show. This was the first season and they did an awesome job and I cannot wait until Season 2 on FOX!
2. The Vampire Diaries
The series follows the life of Elena, a 17 year-old girl, who falls for a 162-year-old vampire named Stefan. Their relationship becomes increasingly complicated as Stefan's older brother Damon returns with a plan to wreak havoc on the town and a revenge against his younger brother. Both brothers start to show affection towards Elena, mainly because of her resemblance to their past love. The series is set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, VIrginia, a town charged with supernatural history since its settlement of migrants from New England in the late 17th century. There are many different stroy lines revolving around Elena's friends that include werewolves, witches and ghosts.
I was hesitant at first because I thought it was just trying to be like the Twilight movies. Thankfully, it much more gripping story lines and MUCH better acting. Check it out on the CW!
Since I like Damon better, here are some funny moments from Damon:
3. Mad Men
Mad Men is set in the 1960s, at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertisint agency on Madison Avenue in New York City and later at the newly created firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. The focal point of the series is Don Draper, creative director at Sterling Cooper and a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, and the people in his life, both in and out of the office. As such, it regularly depicts the changing moods and social mores of 1960s America.
Clint and I LOVE this show! We love watching it together every Sunday. It still has 3 more episodes this season so check it out at 9pm Sundays on AMC!
Let me know if you watch any of these shows and like them!
(I have just started watching 30 Rock on Netflix..so I'll let you know how it is. So far I am loving it!)

Five Favorite Films
Everyone has certain movies that they can watch over and over and never get tired of watching. Every night I watch a movie before going to bed and usually it is a toss up between five. Does anyone else do that? I asked Clint what his top 5 favorite movies are and here is what we came up with:
My 5 favorite movies (in no particular order) along with a famous line from each (just for fun)-
1. My Best Friend's Wedding
Julianne: No. Creme brulee can never be Jell-O. YOU could never be Jell-O!
Kimmy: I HAVE to be Jell-O!
Julianne: You're never gonna be Jell-O!
I loooooove this Julia Robert's classic! I have literally been watching this movie since I was like 13 years old. I own it on VHS and am always watching it when I am at home. I also have it saved on my DVR in my current apartment and it is always a go to movie for me.
2. Julie & Julia
Julia: I'm Julia Child. Bon appetit!
I first watched this movie when it came out a couple years ago with my dad and we both were laughing the entire time. It was a great movie for us to watch together because we love food and really enjoyed this movie. Clint also likes this movie and after we watched it together he bought me Julia Child's cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I have cooked from it a couple of times and let's just say I have a long way to go until I am as good as Mrs. Child.....Bon Appetit!
3. The Office (all seasons)
Michael: That's what she said.
I know this is technically a T.V. show but since I own every season on DVD I am going to count it as one giant movie. I literally have the episodes memorized and still find myself laughing at every single episode. I love it!
4. The Little Mermaid
Ursula: Well, angelfish, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself.
Ariel: Can you do that?
Yes, I am 22 years old and getting married in two months but I still enjoy Disney movies ( a lot). It was hard for me to pick once since I wanted to keep the list to 5 but it is a toss up between this, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahantas, Mulan, Hercules, Peter Pan and Robin Hood :) I will never grow up!
5. The Devil Wears Prada
Andy: So none of the other girls here eat anything?
Nigel: Not since 2 became the new 4 and 0 became the new 2.
Andy: Well, I'm a 6...
Nigel: Which is the new 14.
This movie is perfect from start to finish. It is funny, charming and has a great story. I love all of the four main actors- Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. (side note: Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci play husband and wife in Julie and Julia).

Clint's 5 Favorite Movies:
1. The Dark Knight
Joker: Let's put a smile on that face!
2. Iron Man
Tony Stark: Pour me a scotch, I'm starving.
3. Harry Potter (all)
Hermione: Now if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed--or worse, expelled.
Ron: She needs to sort out her priorities.
4. Wedding Crashers
Jeremy: How many times are you going to do this? Rule #32: You don't commit to a relative unless you're absolutely positive they have a pulse.
John: Rule #16: Give me an up to date family tree. That was your mistake. You made me look like an idiot.
Jeremy: Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!
